Job Description:

This role works directly with the Chief Revenue Officer on providing ongoing visibility into all revenue generating activities for continued high sales performance. The key measure of success in this role is the ability to provide insight and forward thinking around sales methods, sales budgets, training, and tools. The Vice President of Sales Operations will recommend solutions for increased sales based on data and sound business acumen. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for all aspects of planning, reporting, forecasting quota and management, sales process optimization, sales development, territory planning, and sales compensation administration
  • Provides guidance to sales leadership on the product types and pricing models to reach revenue goals
  • Continues to develop a sales operations structure and environment that is driven by data, focusing on operational models that deliver real value to reach and exceed sales objectives
  • Influences CRM and sales technology strategy to scale ahead of the business’ needs; ensuring that the strategy considers the full sales and marketing funnel
  • Develops and implement policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and cleanliness of the CRM with marketing, sales, product, and business systems teams
  • Works with CRO, finance, and human resources to continuously evaluate and implement sales incentive compensation that rewards success
  • Manages the evaluation and interpretation of data; identify trends that signal new opportunities or challenges and dangers; convert data trends into actionable sales processes and tactics
  • Manages the sales operations team
  • Responsible for sales training and enablement

 

Requirements:

  • BA/BS Degree
  • 10-20 years of professional experience in Sales or Sales Operations
  • Most recent position should be as Vice President of Sales Operations or as Senior Director of Sales Operations
  • Experience managing a small team of sales operations professionals
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce and Domo and knowledge of other CRM tools
  • Highly analytical leader who is adept at incorporating data into sales strategies
  • Able to influence others through building internal relationships and providing data to support sales initiatives
  • Demonstrated leadership skills working with sales teams
  • Comfortable working with third party providers to aid in decision making to ensure best solution is achieved
  • Entrepreneurial disposition focused on finding solutions to complex problems and implementing them to help achieve sales goals
