Technical Product Manager

The company’s technology is a “need to have” vs. a “nice to have” and the company can happily boast that it has had a 90% customer retention rate since its inception.

Job Overview:

This is a great role for a more technical Product Manager.  You will work closely with the hiring manager who is the Chief Product Officer to help shape the product management team.  You will implement effective product management processes and strategies, but at the same time you will be in the trenches getting things done. You will lead the next wave of growth in the definition and launch of existing and new products. Primary responsibilities include:

• Translate customer needs into detailed functional requirements, write user stories and acceptance criteria, and work with designers to create awesome user experiences.
• Manage the release and product launch process for APIs and integration connectors to accounting products such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, and others.
• Serve as product owner on the scrum team to organize and prioritize the product backlog, describing the business value and representing the voice of the customer.
• Communicate development status and progress toward milestones and releases.
• Demonstrate product capabilities and solutions to customers and partners to assist in the sales process.
• Work with the marketing team to create differentiated messaging and positioning to support go-to-market campaigns.
• Work with the customer success and implementation team to help our customers configure and deploy connectors to accounting systems or other platforms.

Qualifications:

• BA / BS degree
• 4-8 years plus of software product management experience
• Experience building or supporting integrations to accounting or ERP systems in a B2B software or consulting company.
• Prior experience with accounting or ERP systems and REST APIs and API testing apps such as Postman is highly desirable.
• Passionate about creating value for customers and users with innovative solutions to business problems.
• Technical background with ability to work well with partners, consultants, and engineers.
• Analytic and metrics-driven work style.
• Familiar with Agile development methodologies including Scrum.
