Job Overview:
This is a great role for a seasoned software Product Manager who is experienced but not yet a Director. You will work closely with the hiring manager who is the Chief Product Officer to help shape the product management team. You will implement effective product management processes and strategies, but at the same time you will be in the trenches getting things done. You will lead the next wave of growth in the definition and launch of existing and new products.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with designers, engineers, consultants, and partners to deliver software solutions to customers’ business needs.
- Research product and market needs directly with customers and prospects, gathering business requirements to establish the product roadmap.
- Translate product strategy into detailed functional requirements, write user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Serve as product owner on the scrum team to organize and prioritize the product backlog, describing the business value and representing the voice of the customer.
- Conduct user experience testing, manage the beta release and product launch process.
- Communicate development status and progress toward milestones and releases.
- Demonstrate product capabilities and solutions to customers and partners to assist in the sales process.
- Work with the marketing team to create differentiated messaging and positioning to support go-to-market campaigns.
Job Requirements:
- 7-10+ years of product management experience in a B2B software company.
- Must have launched at least one new major software product, from start to finish, as a product manager.
- Technical background with ability to work well with designers and engineers.
- Analytic and metrics-driven work style.
- Familiar with Agile development methodologies including Scrum.
