What you’ll work on
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application and performance issues
- Contribute to financial/accounting-related products and services
- Design, build, test, document, and support production-ready software across the stack
- Ship new features and enhancements for existing systems and services
- Make thoughtful tradeoffs around performance, complexity, and maintainability
- Maintain and evolve automated testing suites as the product grows
- Provide technical leadership via code reviews, design discussions, and best practices
- Monitor and tune application performance in multiple environments
- Mentor teammates and contribute to a collaborative, feedback-rich culture
- Partner with a cross-functional Scrum team to deliver high-quality, releasable increments
- Stay current with modern engineering tools, frameworks, and approaches
Core qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Solid understanding of SDLC, version control, build pipelines, testing, and deployment
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies: C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET, SQL
- Front-end experience with Angular plus JavaScript or TypeScript
- Familiarity with several of the following: MVC, Entity Framework, Dapper, Dependency Injection, NUnit/xUnit, Moq, Postman, Jest, Splunk, DataDog, Git
Nice-to-have experience
- Background working on accounting or financial software
- JavaScript/TypeScript with other modern frameworks (React, Vue, etc.)
- Using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and open-source tooling in production
Logistics & compensation
- Location: Fully remote within the U.S.
- Work authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available
- Compensation: Base salary around 115K–125K plus up to 8% bonus and 401(k)
