Company Description:

We are partnering with a profitable, forward-thinking energy-services company that is helping major organizations move from net-zero ambition to measurable action while maintaining competitiveness. Globally recognized for its advanced bioenergy solutions, the company addresses some of the world’s most difficult decarbonization challenges. Its innovative work supports lower-carbon pathways for sectors such as aviation, heavy shipping, and steel manufacturing.

This is an opportunity to join an established, mission-driven organization at the forefront of the energy transition, where commercial impact, technological innovation, and environmental progress come together.

Job Overview:

Our client has developed its own product line designed to make environmental-attribute transactions easier to manage, trace, and commercialize. The product can simplify contracts, transactions, provenance, and reporting.  As Director of Product, you will work directly with engineers, business leaders, and customers.

You will translate business and customer needs into a clear product roadmap, well-defined requirements, and executable development priorities. This is not a project management role. The Director of Product needs to be a seasoned product professional with strong product judgment and leadership ability.  With the increasingly AI-enabled software-development model, you will also help establish an effective operating model between product leadership, human engineering oversight, AI development tools, and external development partners.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Lead establishment of a disciplined product-development model that uses AI tools to increase development speed and effectiveness.
  • Own and continuously refine the product roadmap, turning business processes and product concepts into clear functional requirements.
  • Work closely with technical leadership to identify dependencies, constraints, risks, and alternative approaches.  Work effectively with AI-assisted development environments while supporting human product, engineering, security, and release controls.
  • Participate in customer demonstrations, discovery conversations, and pilot design.
  • Establish clear priorities based on customer needs, commercial value, strategic importance, risk, and development effort.
  • Maintain a clear distinction between current capabilities, committed development, and longer-term ideas.
  • Convert customer feedback and stakeholder requests into product insights.
  • Track product outcomes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, business users, customers, and senior executives

Job Requirements:

  • BA/BS Degree
  • 7+ years of solid professional Product Management experience
  • Experience working at a growing, nimble company.
  • Experience as a “hands-on” product management leader who can be both strategic and tactical.
  • Experience with platforms that focus on transactions, marketplaces, SaaS enterprise workflow and/or asset, inventory management are all of interest.
