SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Job Overview:

Our client is an early-stage start-up.  This is the third company the founders are building with their own money. No Venture capital money.

You must love to CODE. 80% of your time will be CODING. Your background with languages is not as important as your willingness to be open to using/ learning PYTHON.

The company today is under 15 people. You will be asked to come into the office 3 days a week.

You must be high energy/ willing to explore new ideas/ communicative/ and collaborative in nature.

Our client needs a highly capable software engineer who would have an interest in  focusing on algorithmic advertising.

As part of our small, yet highly skilled group, you will work in a data-driven environment with a focus on rapid iteration, experimentation, and driving measurable results.

Being an early-stage startup, you will be expected to learn and adapt to multiple disciplines and new technologies.

You will be doing:

• Develop and enhance our algorithmic advertising infrastructure as we expand partnerships, markets, and advertising strategies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to rapidly take an idea from initial concept to production.
• Analyze ad performance and website behavior to identify optimization opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Build models using historical performance data and AI to optimize ad returns
• Advocate for new technologies and methodologies.
• Continuously learn and broaden your skill set.

What you bring to the team:

• Proficient in building scalable data pipelines and third-party integrations.
• Willing to take on any challenge and learn new skills to get the job done.
• No digital advertising experience needed
• Solid experience with SQL and an understanding of statistics.
• Able to work independently to explore data and discover opportunities for improvement
• Familiarity with cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
