Job Overview:

In this role, you will work with a small, smart, and “no drama” team on the company’s core AI product line. The product line is already being used in the market by an extensive list of universally recognized customers who are experiencing the ROI of this AI product line.  It is a “must have product” by its customers, and the work that you and the team will do will only make future versions even better!

As the QA Operations Lead, you will own day-to-day QA tasks.  You will also propose and execute process improvement.  Other primary responsibilities include:

  • Hands-on Testing. Perform manual testing of company’s software on PCs and smart camera devices for each release
  • Customer and Partner Issue Ownership. Take full ownership of customer- and partner-reported bugs—from triage through resolution—ensuring they are prioritized and resolved efficiently
  • Development of Test Strategies. Define and manage the boundary between what is tested manually vs. what should be automated, ensuring the right balance for our context
  • Bug Lifecycle Management. Lead improvements in the bug lifecycle process to reduce friction and shorten resolution timelines
  • QA Process Optimization. Continuously identify and implement QA process improvements
  • Strategic QA Involvement. Participate in requirement reviews and early design discussions to provide QA insight
  • Gap Analysis and Test Planning. Audit existing test coverage and identify gaps; prioritize test case additions or improvements based on business impact. Analyze bug trends to uncover weak points and drive targeted quality enhancements
  • Technical Insight. Develop a deep understanding of the company’s products and technology and use this to determine the best ways to plan and execute the product testing
  • Establish product quality metrics. Devise necessary work to improve those metrics

 

Job Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of hands-on software Quality Assurance experience in which you played a key role in building and enhancing a QA function
  • Strong hands-on QA experience, ideally with hardware or device-based testing
  • Experience developing test deliverables like test plans, test cases, test data, traceability matrix
  • Proven ability to manage bug lifecycles and identify process bottlenecks
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • A curious mindset that drives thoughtful, real-world testing
  • A bias for action—able to take ownership and drive outcomes independently
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally with PMs and developers
  • Experience balancing long-term process goals with urgent, high-impact testing
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, environment with frequent releases
