Our Client: Pioneering the Future of Industrial Automation.

Are you energized by turning ideas into engineered reality? Our client, an ambitious and rapidly growing industrial automation startup, is searching for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of next-generation automation systems.

What You’ll Do:

  • Architect & Build: Lead the design, prototyping, and testing of complex mechatronic assemblies—multi-axis actuators, precision motion control, industrial sensing, and more.
  • Drive Product Development: Own the full lifecycle, from conceptual ideation and detailed design reviews to hands-on assembly, rigorous validation, and continual improvement.
  • Integrate Systems: Bring together electromechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical controls to deliver robust automation solutions for real-world industrial applications.
  • Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams—controls, electronics, and manufacturing—to deliver projects that outpace industry expectations.
  • Champion Engineering Excellence: Set best practices in documentation, BOM management, and engineering process for scalable growth and long-term success.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Robotics, or Controls Engineering (Master’s/PhD a plus)
  • 9+ years of experience designing and deploying complex automation or mechatronic systems—industrial automation experience strongly preferred
  • Leadership background overseeing all phases of product development
  • Deep technical expertise in electromechanical components (motors, actuators, gear systems) and industrial sensors
  • Skilled in FEA (static, fatigue, and dynamic analysis), GD&T (ASME Y14.5), and 3D CAD (Onshape preferred)
  • Proficient in designing pneumatic/hydraulic systems and integrating industrial controls architectures
  • Strong communicator with a hands-on mindset and collaborative approach

Bonus Points For:

  • Advanced skills in system dynamics, vibration, modal, or kinematic simulation
  • Industrial tooling/custom machinery design experience
  • MATLAB or Python skills for engineering analysis
  • Experience developing robust documentation processes (BOM, CAD management, part numbering)
  • Startup, new-product launch, or multidisciplinary project experience

Why Join This Startup?

  • Direct influence over core technology and rapid product deployment cycles
  • Collaborative and transparent culture. Your technical expertise is recognized and highly valued.
  • Flexible, high-trust work environment with unique perks
  • Opportunity to leave your mark at the forefront of industrial automation innovation
