Job Overview:

The Systems Data Center team oversees the design, construction, and management of critical infrastructure across firmwide data centers, colocation facilities, and MDF/IDF rooms. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic, collaborative, and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Systems Data Center Engineer, you will:

  • Coordinate and Execute Operations: Manage day-to-day data center operations at company sites with occasional travel to other locations.
  • Install and Troubleshoot Equipment: Build, install, and maintain servers, storage systems, networking hardware, and copper/fiber cabling.
  • Enhance Processes: Identify areas for improvement in policies and workflows, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
  • Capacity Management: Monitor site capacity and assist in forecasting future requirements.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and maintenance of equipment.
  • Problem-Solving: Apply research and analytical skills to resolve complex issues while fostering collaboration across teams.

Qualifications:
We are seeking candidates who possess the following:

  • Experience: 2 to 7 years of relevant experience in systems administration and data center operations (e.g., buildouts/migrations, liquid cooling, power balancing, cabling, automation).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in server hardware troubleshooting and general systems administration.
  • Communication Skills: Strong attention to detail, judgment, organizational ability, and excellent communication skills for working with diverse global teams.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings or weekends as needed; reliable transportation is required.

Preferred Experience: Background in financial services is a plus but not mandatory
