You are typically the “Go To” person for solving technical problems. You love to dig through the weeds to figure things out using multiple sources of data.  

As a Support Engineer, you will manage special projects and maintenance for an array of clients, helping to ensure that their systems run smoothly and successfully. The majority of work will require general software problem solving skills, strong experience in SQL, and a commitment to service and quality. You will learn from on-the-job training, so your ability to learn is most important! 

Job Overview:

  • Provide ongoing technical support to an array of clients

  • Solve hard and interesting problems at the database level

  • Trace application bugs through the technology stack (especially JavaScript, Ruby, SQL) and submit for modifications.

  • Provide in-depth technical consulting to and alongside Account Managers in order to align clients with technology and best practices

  • Design and implement custom solutions for a given client or set of clients

  • Implement software into new client existing systems/ Import historical data from a wide variety of former system(s) into a unified database

  • Configure newly purchased modules according to client specification

  • Build custom academic reports using Ruby, HTML, and CSS 

Skills/Experience You Bring:

  • Will consider early career to mid-level hands-on SQL engineers with experience writing raw SQL to migrate or manipulate complex data sets -Will train exceptional talent eager to learn SQL.

  • Ability to communicate technical details to people with a wide range of technical ability

  • Customer service and team-oriented mindset

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Enthusiasm about databases and related technology

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field for early career professionals or similar work experience 


Additional Experience not required but is a plus:

  • Experience with Ruby or similar, HTML/CSS and/or Web and/or UI design skills
