Senior Database Administrator (iManage)



You will be responsible for systems administration support of the Document Management system, Records Management system, and Conflicts system.

You will:

Monitor and provide performance tuning to system components as required to ensure optimum system function
Perform upgrades, patches, and migrations; provides Job setup, scheduling and log file cleanup
Work with the functional/process Analyst and Programmers to plan and implement technical specifications for conversion, interfaces, enhancements, reports, & add-ons
Provide user maintenance internal to DMS and Records
Provide SQL Database Administration as it applies to DMS and Records
Design and create moderately complex reports leveraging SQL queries
Provide support for applications utilizing iManage Work APIs in the cloud
Participate in disaster recovery planning and tests. Leads all recovery activities for the document management system
Ensure adequate documentation of all strategies, processes, and procedures related to the implementation and support of the environment
Collaborate with hardware and OS technical teams to ensure proper integration with each system; collaborates with database technical teams to ensure proper integration with each system
Provide functional support to super users and Information Management staff in each office location; provides front-end training for technical support staff


Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience
Minimum of two years’ experience in a medium to large law firm is preferred
At least five years’ experience with the following technologies: iManage WorkSite, iManage Records Manager and Milan Hub
Ability to troubleshoot complex data-related issues, develop alternatives, and choose the alternative that best meets the business objectives
Relational database technology-entity/relationship modeling and SQL
Expert level knowledge of Information Systems, Database Management Systems and operating Systems, technologies, architecture and database environments and applying knowledge toward directing IT management, applications work groups and business users with design decisions and technical problem resolution
Experience with REST API
Expert level analytical skills
Ability to prepare systems and program documentation with the use of flow charts and narration; ability to test data and debug programs
