Job Overview:

Hybrid Role. Travel up to 50% may be required. You must be excellent with documentation. Experience with outside contract manufacturers. Strong people skills. Expert in a manufacturing environment for the medical device industry.You are a Manufacturing Process Engineer who possesses a blend of technical and hands-on experience in medical device manufacturing environment.

You will be responsible for developing manufacturing processes which improve production efficiency, reduce quality issues, and increase workplace safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and improve the effectiveness of current contract manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze and improve the efficiency and quality of manufactured parts and sub-assemblies.
  • Develop efficient process flow, manufacturing fixtures, and manufacturing work instructions in collaboration with contract manufacturers.
  • Develop manufacturing best-practices and guidelines.
  • Assist in evaluating, resolving, and auditing quality issues.
  • Apply principles of Lean Manufacturing to reduce waste.
  • Initiate continuous improvement projects throughout the company.

Your Background:

  • General understanding of all manufacturing operations within the company and at our contract manufacturers and their suppliers
  • Experience with ISO 9001
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, written, verbal communication, and hands-on skills.
  • Works cooperatively with R&D, Systems Development, Quality and Regulatory, Production Facilities, Supply Chain, and Marketing on complex projects to ensure project success
  • Proficient in Computer Aided Design software such as ACAD and SolidWorks
  • Able to prioritize and take initiative with minimal guidance.
  • Able to help facilitate actions and work with others across multiple departments and organizations.

Education & Training/Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
  • Five or more years in related work experience plus relevant education preferred.
