Frequently Asked Questions

I am interested in some jobs on your website that are listed by other Recruiters. Can you represent me for these opportunities or do I need to contact someone else in your company?

NDT recruiters can help fill all the openings at our client companies that are handled by us. The positions listed on our Web site are only a small sampling of some of the hot assignments each recruiter is working aggressively to fill.

Do you have opportunities throughout the country?

Our network was originally formed in New England, so the majority of our client companies are located in this area. However, we do have a number of client companies with offices on the West Coast, the Pacific Northwest, the Research Triangle, and other locations throughout the country.

What types of businesses do you represent?

We partner with builders of technology, utilizers of technology, consulting firms, start-ups, as well as entrepreneurial spin-offs from older, established companies.

Do you work with individuals that require H-1 visa sponsorship?

Yes, we are very familiar with the process and have placed many individuals requiring sponsorship. If you require sponsorship, we will focus your search on companies that are willing to assist you with the process.

After an initial conversation with a new candidate, when should I expect to hear from you?

Once we can match your qualifications and needs with the requirements of the client company. In the meantime, if you have any questions, comments, or you would like to know the status of our search, please do not hesitate to call or send us an e-mail.

What happens once I submit my résumé in response to a job posting?

Upon receipt, we will review your credentials to determine where your skills may best be utilized. If there is a match, we will contact you. At that time, we will qualify the type of position you want, the industry (Internet, Multimedia, Telecommunications, etc.), the culture and size of company, where you want to work geographically, etc. Once these questions have been answered, we will begin to match your needs with the requirements of our client companies.

How long will it take for me to find a job?

That depends on your skill set and the availability of open positions. The process could take anywhere from 1-6 weeks. Perhaps longer if you have very specialized skills and specific needs.

Do I have to pay for your services?

Absolutely not. Our services are absolutely free to you. We are paid by our client companies.

Once I submit my résumé, how should I follow up?

Feel free to contact the recruiter you submitted your résumé to originally. This will help us to get to know you even better.

Once I have a job offer through NDT, how do I negotiate my salary?

We will help you with that part of the process as well. We will hold your hand through the entire process, from setting up interviews and preparing you for the interviews to accepting a position. Our goal is to secure the "perfect match" and best financial renumeration for you.

If I have a friend at a company, do I have a better chance of getting an interview through their referral or through NDT?

As the professional, NDT knows the individual Hiring Manager and, therefore, can get action on your résumé much faster. Also, specific openings in a company may not be known to employees, but they are to us.

How will NDT help me through the negotiation process with a company?

From the beginning, NDT recruiters are taught to be good listeners. This training helps us make sure all your needs are understood by the client. When they are, we have a situation in which everyone wins!

What is the process after I have submitted in my résumé?

If your résumé matches one or more client company openings, an NDT recruiter will contact you by phone or e-mail to begin the process. The NDT recruiter will do more qualifying in subsequent phone meetings and/or face-to-face meetings to ensure that there is open communication and that your needs are being met.

If I do not hear from my NDT recruiter for a while, what should I do?

Contact your recruiter by e-mail or phone. NDT recruiters are extremely busy. If you have not heard from your recruiter, it is probably because they have not found the exact assignment for you. It does not mean that they have forgotten you or that you are no longer a candidate.
